BASHGRAM

Visiting Bashgram was planned all of a sudden. This trip aimed to catch the sunset view at Bashgram so without any delay I hastily set my gears for charging. Samrat already joined me in the journey. After lunch, I started my motorcycle towards Bashgram. It takes almost one hour to reach there. Beautiful tea gardens on both sides of the road make the view more attractive and the ride as well enjoyable. Thankfully the day was pleasant, the sky was clear and we reached there without any kind of problem.

The word BASHGRAM represents the village of bamboos, situated 40 km away from the city of Agartala. The key attraction of this place is that almost everything there is made up of bamboo. When we reached there, the sun was preparing for setting on the horizon and the last gentle rays were reflecting in the green leaves of the tea garden. We walked around in the garden before entering Bashgram. The entry fee consists of one cup of tea and a biscuit, which looks like a good deal to consider (the entry fee is the same whether you accept the deal or not.). Inside the resort, there is a shop where you can buy locally made bamboo products like bottles, jewelry products, home decor items, etc. at a reasonable price. There is an arrangement also where anyone can spend a night. A watchtower is there to enjoy the picturesque beauty of a splendid sunset. All the seating arrangements, narrow bridge, beach-chair everything is made of bamboo. The whole area is surrounded by a beautiful tea garden and plowland. It requires a good time to get around the whole area. I enjoyed it a lot and spent an excellent time there by clicking some pictures of the enchanting sunset.

The restaurant is also very nicely designed. Notably in the evening, it looks very attractive when the colorful lights illuminate the area. The table and chairs are made up of bamboo having a round thatched roof. After wandering there on that cold evening we were starved and needed some tasty hot bites. We had ordered Chicken pakora and chicken chowmein and that was very delicious. Winter days never last long. It was time to get back to the nest as the darkness has already engulfed the daylight.

So started the engine, headlight turned on……..

Vrooom Vrooom,

See you in next blog.
