HANUMAN TEMPLE

One day we find out about an old Hanuman temple located near our flat, but we never heard about it before. So, we decided to visit the temple next Sunday.

The temple is set on the right side of the road to Aralia. When we got there, it was a sunny winter morning. The temple is very old, located high above the road. Not so high that anyone has to climb 100 or 200 stairs. You will see the shrine as soon as you go up the slope. Surrounded by plants and birds chirping, the place feels very delicate and quiet.

The temple has only one room with a printed picture of Hanuman and a yajna kund in the middle. Smoke was billowing from the ghee-burned wooden stick in the yajna kunda. And the sun’s rays were spreading inside the house through the smoke. Outside the house, on the verandah, there is a red statue of Hanuman. One can clearly understand how old the temple is.

An old man was preparing for the Lord’s worship. After a brief conversation with him, we found out that the temple is more than a hundred years old, and surprisingly not many in this town know about it. He was not the chief priest of that temple, rather He lives in the neighborhood. Almost time the priest is late and as a rule, the flame that cannot be snuffed out, he pursues the work in the place of the priest.
